The Children’s Home +
Aid Community School mission is to give help, hope, and opportunity to children
and families by removing barriers to academic and social success through
school and community partnerships.
Benjamin E. Mays Academy has partnered with Children’s Home + Aid to bring
you extended services, including summer programming, after-school programs,
parent and family programs, and adult education with the goals of increasing
academic and social success.
There will be a variety of programs available throughout the year that students,
parents, and families may sign up for. Though these programs will take place
outside of school hours, they will follow the same policies and procedures
as the regular school day.
Notifications about the programs will be shared with students during the
school day, through fliers in the main office and around the school, and
through information sent home. Anyone interested in signing up must fill
out an enrollment form in order to participate. Once a student or parent
is signed up, it is expected that they will commit to the program and maintain
proper attendance and participation.
Parents and students that sign-up for any Children’s Home + Aid program
will receive a handbook of guidelines and expectations. It is anticipated
that parents and students will be familiar with the handbook and will comply
with the appropriate policies and procedures.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the Mays’ Community and we hope that
many students, parents, and families will take part in the exciting programming
available.
